What Can I Do in Rarotonga?

Its something that we locals get asked all of the time....

So lets put all of that local knowledge and information in one place!

So here it is - a travel guide to our little slice of Paradise.

"My flight arrives in the early hours of the morning. Do I need to book my accommodation for the night before"

If you would like to be able to go straight to your accommodation and go to bed, or have a shower - then yes. Or else check in at the standard check in time after your flight arrives.

"Do I need to book the activities I want to do before I arrive?"

with the operators that you wish to go out with.

"I have some dietary requirements. Can Restaurant's and Supermarkets meet my needs?"

Many of our Restaurant's offer great options for those that have dietary restrictions.

​

Also our supermarkets have a range of options. It may be slightly more limited than what you are used to, but there are still options.

Arriving in the early hours, departing in the late evening - you can still get a transfer to the airport.

Our taxis, buses and private transfer operators are available to pick you up.

​

If you are renting a car, check to see if you are able to return it directly to the airport.

"My flight departs Rarotonga in the evening or early hours of the morning. Do need to book my accommodation for the entire day of my departure?"

If you would like to spend the day at the accommodation, it is best to speak to the operator. For flights leaving in the early hours of the morning - it is best to book for the additional night. Gives you a space to kick back and relax during those last hours in paradise.
